Computer science x astronomy

Modern astronomical datasets are huge. I use machine learning to help analyse them, and am even developing my own algorithms and techniques.

Star clusters

Most of my time is spent on improving understanding of our galaxy's star clusters: the video above shows the locations of the clusters from my recent star cluster catalogue.

Software & the web

I'm a passionate open-source software contributor and I spend a lot of time writing code. My main focus is The Astrosky Ecosystem, an outreach and communication project that I founded.

Stellar physics

Finally, you'll also find me using modern data in new ways to better understand our galaxy's stars. I'm particularly interested in better stellar ages and stellar variability.
